All data processing, including bookmark organization, sorting, duplicate detection ("Find Similar"), and broken link validation ("Find Broken"), happens locally on your device within your browser.

Data Access and Permissions

To function correctly, Bookmarks Manager requires specific permissions:

• Bookmarks: The core permission used to read, modify, organize, and delete bookmarks at your request. This data remains strictly local to your browser.
• Tabs & ActiveTab: Used to open bookmarks in new tabs and to capture the title/URL of the current page when you use the "Add Bookmark" popup.
• Web Navigation: Used exclusively by the "Find Broken Bookmarks" feature to detect navigation success or failure when validating local `file://` links in a background tab.
• Host Permissions (`http://*/*`, `https://*/*`): Required for the "Find Broken Bookmarks" feature to send `HEAD` or `GET` requests to verify if external links are valid. These requests do not transmit user data.

Log Data

I want to inform you that whenever you use my Service, in a case of an error in the extension I do not collect any Log Data or crash reports remotely. Any errors logged are local to your browser's developer console.

Cookies

This Service does not use "cookies". It does not track your browsing history outside of the specific interactions required to validate bookmark links or add the current page.

Service Providers

This extension operates independently and does not employ third-party companies to facilitate the Service or analyze how it is used. There are no embedded analytics or advertising services.

Security

I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information (even if it is only stored locally), thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This Service manages bookmarks that link to third-party websites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.
